AI for Alt-Text and How it Works

Also known as Alternative Text, Alt-Text is a phrase or a group of texts that describe the content of an image in cases where the actual image does not load. This is particularly useful for users who cannot view photos or require a deeper understanding of their content.

Alt-Text supports your SEO by giving Google more context by describing the product images. However, it only works when the Alt-Text is descriptive.

AI Alt-Text is a feature that describes your product photos better to improve your overall SEO and Image Search Ranking. It does the work for you since descriptive Alt-Text is the correct and most effective way to do it.

​Note: The AI for Alt Text is automatically enabled for all new users of the app. Users who installed the app before November 2025 may need to contact our support team to manually enable the feature.

2. Scroll down and uncheck “Keep existing Alt Texts and only update images that are missing Alt Text”.

​Important: Only do this if you want our app's AI to add a descriptive alt text to all your product images. Otherwise, do not uncheck this option.

3. Click “Continue” to confirm.
​

4. Click the “Optimize Images” button.
​

5. Wait a few seconds while your images are being sent to the queue until the progress reaches 100%, then click “Continue”.

And there you have it! Your AI Alt-Text feature is now enabled.
